Wine of the Month Club

The Wine List has a fantastic Wine of the Month Club. We always try to feature new and interesting wines to try. Our white Wine of the Month this month is actually a rose'. There is nothing like a lovely dry rose' in the summer. They're crisp, cool, refreshing and exceptionally food friendly. They have the added benefit of providing all of the health benefits of red wine, but without the heavy tannins. I chose the Margan Shiraz Saignee for club members to try this month. It is delightful. From the Hunter Valley in Austraia, this wine is 100% Shiraz. Give it a little chill and serve it with just about anything or nothing at all.

Our red wine of the Month is from Spain. The Bodegas Altun Albiker is a great summer red. Mostly Tempranillo (90%), this wine is bursting with cherry and raspberry fruit flavors. this is due to a process known as carbonic maceration. The winemaker allows the grapes to ferment in their skins. The process imparts a very bright character to the fruit.
